Sam is a terrific surgeon and a wonderful individual. He has the ability to make patients feel very much at ease instilling confidence in the inevitable outcome of his interventions…….. success. Sam has performed two total knee replacements on me. After the second I was able to walk with walking sticks within a couple of hours. I was able to drive after two weeks. If you are considering a knee replacement look no further than Sam who is, in my experience, a world surgeon.

I am so grateful to Mr Rajaratnam and his team for their superb care, respect and kindness following my recent knee surgery to alleviate pain and instability. The pain management regime by Dr Phillips was also fantastic. I am having to remind myself that I have had a TKR as 6 weeks later I have almost regained full movement and my strength improves daily. So if you are lucky enough to have Mr Rajaratnam I highly recommend. My heartfelt thanks to you all.

Sam and the whole team were excellent when I had a total knee replacement in December 2021. Dr Barry Phillips the anaesthetist was particularly helpful in explaining the various options and the follow up drug regime. He allayed my fears after a previous bad experience elswhere. The aftercare was excellent: phoned queries were always answered and additional drugs supplied as needed. Don't give them back too soon, as I did. Sam's methodology works. But you do need to follow instructions and do the work/physio yourself. The clinic is run extremely efficiently. They really have thought through all the patient facing processes.

I was lucky enough to be highly recommended to Sam Rajaratnam. 6 weeks after the op there was literally nothing that I could not do and this was entirely down to his skill, the excellent nursing care I received, the knowledge of the physios and the expertise of the pain management team. Sam and The Schoen are a class act, so good that I am having knee two done 3 months later!

Mr Rajaratnam was the surgeon who operated on both of my knee replacements, they have been extremely successful. Recovery has been within 6 weeks of operation and I have been able to walk without sticks during this time. His approach to both operations has been kind, thoughtful and understanding. He listens to all of your queries and worries which he manages to elevate from your thoughts. I would trust him to do a great operation at all times.
